KEY GOALS

– Save the Amazon, prevent biodiversity loss, and contain climate crisis. .

– Ignite and empower the younger generation to preserve the Amazon.

– Strive to eliminate poverty, alleviate hunger, and enhance well-being.

– Align our commitment with the Sustainable Development Agenda’s goals.

– Foster local & global partnerships for sustainable development.

WHY MISSION 2030?

The year 2030 is key to the Foundation, as it marks the end of the critical decade in which we can take decisive action to protect the Amazon, and in turn, help save our planet.

According to the IPCC report, there is no time to lose in keeping the global average temperature under 1.5℃. To achieve this target, global greenhouse gas emissions must peak before 2025, reduce by 43% by 2030, and reach net-zero by 2050.

We recognize that it is impossible to achieve the target without saving the Amazon rainforest, and has developed a plan to protect the Amazon from irreparable damage.

Over 17.2% of the Amazon has already been lost due to deforestation and degradation, and an additional 130,000 square kilometers (Netherlands x3 times) will be lost by 2030 without prompt action.

As such, it is the last chance to save the Amazon from hitting the 20% tipping point, the irreversible ecological damage and a dieback of the entire ecosystem.

Climate change is not an ideology but a scientific fact.
It is up to us to recognize this fact and take action to mitigate its worst impacts.

- Prof Michael Mann

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.

We’re doing better, for sure, but we still have a very long way to go.

– Robert Swan, OBE, FRGS.

Mission 2030

In addition to the above, our initiative aligns with several of the goals set by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

  • Planting Hope. Restoring Earth's Green Heart. Cultivating a Sustainable Planet.
